Lifted from the Book of Job.
This song was recorded live... sort of. Actually, we had a computer glitch and had to stitch together three different takes, and then overdub the vocals because of an engineering mistake. No fixing, no pitch correction, just as honest as we could get it under the circumstances.
lyrics
Waiting here,
I've been waiting here for so long,
wondering,
how things got so...
All I hear,
falling glass and broken rain.
So far above,
so high and lifted up.
Can you hear me?
Either love me, or kill me.
Just don't leave me here.
Either love me, or kill me.
Just don't disappear.
Ever since
they opened up their mouths,
I've been wishing
that I was someone else.
Every day
I pray for you to come.
I can't stay here forever!
Either love me, or kill me.
Just don't leave me here.
Either love me, or kill me.
Just don't disappear.
